MW4 Stranded Codes: All 8 Keypad Codes & Locations

Every MW4 Stranded code on one page: all eight keypad codes for the Stranded mission in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, each with its map coordinates, the note that hides the puzzle, how the pattern works, and what is inside the container once it opens. All eight codes are fixed — the same for every player — and every one of them is optional loot. Modern Warfare 4 fully releases October 23, 2026, and these solutions were verified on October 22, 2026 against four published guides.

Quick answer: the eight Stranded codes are 0024 8609 0078 0600 1234 6789 0330 and 0008. Open the Base Camp container first — it marks the other seven on your map.

What Stranded is

Stranded is the tenth main mission of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 campaign and its biggest open-combat map: a sandbox island where you gear up against invading forces while working through optional objectives. It is also where the campaign hides most of its collectibles — 26 yellow supply crates and the eight locked keypads on this page. If you are going for 100% completion or the Time to Crate achievement, you will spend more time in Stranded than in any other mission.

Each keypad is a small puzzle: a note near the door lists previously used codes, and the working code is the next value in whatever pattern the note follows. You can solve every puzzle yourself from the notes, but if you just want the loot, the codes below work on every difficulty and every playthrough.

Every keypad, solved

#1 Base Camp Container — 0024

Coordinates: 644, 158 · Note reads: 0006, 0012, 0018

On the tracks next to the tall radio tower beside your base camp, the first keypad most players walk past.

How the puzzle works: The note lists three previously used codes, each 6 higher than the last. The next code in the sequence is 0018 + 6 = 0024.

Inside: Map intel plus supplies. Opening this container also marks the locations of the other seven keypads on your in-game map, so it pays to do this one first.

#2 South of Jamming Station — 8609

Coordinates: 667, 125 · Note reads: 5903, 6805, 7707

A locked shipping container south of the jamming station, one of the mission's primary objectives.

How the puzzle works: Each previous code changes digit by digit: thousands +1, hundreds −1, tens +0, units +2. Applying the same step to 7707 gives 8609.

Inside: A yellow supply crate.

#3 South East Village — 0078

Coordinates: 652, 187 · Note reads: 0012, 0034, 0056

In the village at the south-east edge of the map.

How the puzzle works: Each previous code is 22 higher than the one before. The next in the sequence is 0056 + 22 = 0078.

Inside: A yellow supply crate holding the X-Void SMG pre-loaded with subsonic rounds.

#4 Cliff Near Base Camp — 0600

Coordinates: 646, 149 · Note reads: 9300, 6400, 3500

A container sitting on the cliff a short walk from base camp.

How the puzzle works: Each previous code drops by 2900. The next in the sequence is 3500 − 2900 = 0600.

Inside: A yellow supply crate.

#5 Big Sign — 1234

Coordinates: 634, 136 · Note reads: 1000, 1200, 1230

The container under the large sign, west of the village area.

How the puzzle works: The note's codes close in on the answer: add 4 to the final slot of 1230 and the working code is 1234.

Inside: A yellow supply crate holding armor plates and supplies.

#6 Small Island — 6789

Coordinates: 618, 132 · Note reads: 3456, 4567, 5678

On the small island off the west coast of the map.

How the puzzle works: Each digit of the previous codes scrolls one slot to the left, so the sequence continues 3456 → 4567 → 5678 → 6789.

Inside: A yellow supply crate.

#7 Farm Field Hidden Bunker — 0330

Coordinates: 631, 127 · Note reads: 10, 20, 100, 200

The hatch to a hidden bunker in the farm field at the center of the map.

How the puzzle works: The note points to numbered boxes at the Logistics Station. Adding the box numbers 10 + 20 + 100 + 200 gives 330, entered as 0330.

Inside: A note plus supplies.

#8 Hidden Island Bunker — 0008

Coordinates: 615, 169 · Note reads: infantry checkpoints along the river

The second hidden bunker, on the island at the south-west edge of the map.

How the puzzle works: The note asks you to count the numbered infantry checkpoint outposts along the river. There are 8, entered as 0008.

Inside: A yellow supply crate and the North West Bunker note. A separate unlocked container at 616, 168 holds a Tracking Device and Thermite.

How the keypad puzzles work

Every Stranded keypad follows the same design: the previous codes are written on a note next to the door, and the answer is the next number in the sequence. The patterns are simple arithmetic — constant steps (+6, +22, −2900), digit shifts (3456 → 4567 → 6789), or single-digit tweaks (+4 to one slot). Two of the eight (the Farm Field bunker and the Hidden Island bunker) swap the number list for a counting puzzle: one asks you to add up the numbers painted on boxes at the Logistics Station (10 + 20 + 100 + 200 = 330), the other to count infantry checkpoints along the river (8).

Two practical tips from the guides: open the Base Camp container first because it reveals the other seven keypads on your Tac-Map, and clear outposts plus gather intel as you go — both reveal yellow supply crate locations that the map otherwise hides.

The codes feed the Time to Crate achievement

Stranded hides 26 yellow supply crates. The in-game map only shows about 20 of them, and the remaining six sit behind the locked keypads — six of the eight containers above hold a yellow crate (the Base Camp container and the Farm Field bunker are the two exceptions). Opening all 26 unlocks the Time to Crate achievement. The full crate-by-crate walkthrough, including the six hardest to reach, is on the yellow crates page.

Other MW4 mission codes (safes, doors, toolboxes)

Players searching for MW4 codes often want one of these instead — they are the other lockable codes in the campaign, and none of them are in Stranded:

Frequently asked questions

What is the code for the container in Stranded in MW4?

It depends which container: Stranded has 8 keypad codes in total — 0024 (Base Camp), 8609 (South of Jamming Station), 0078 (South East Village), 0600 (Cliff Near Base Camp), 1234 (Big Sign), 6789 (Small Island), 0330 (Farm Field Hidden Bunker) and 0008 (Hidden Island Bunker). The full list with coordinates is in the table above.

What is the base camp keypad code in Stranded?

0024. The note beside the keypad lists the previous codes 0006, 0012 and 0018, each 6 higher than the last, so the next code is 0024. Opening this container also marks the other seven keypads on your map.

Are the Stranded codes the same for everyone?

Yes. Stranded is a single-player campaign mission and all 8 keypad codes are fixed — every player gets the same codes in the same containers. You do not need to re-derive the puzzles if you enter the codes listed here.

How many keypad puzzles are in the Stranded mission?

Eight: six locked shipping containers and two hidden bunkers. The in-game map only starts marking them after you open the first one at Base Camp, or after you gather intel and clear outposts.

Is there a safe in Stranded like in other MW4 missions?

No. Stranded has keypads on shipping containers and bunkers, not safes. The campaign's safe code is in the mission Escape (8410); other missions hold a toolbox code (214 in Following Orders) and three door codes (5523, 7632, 9103 in Assassins).

Do I need the codes to finish Stranded?

No. All eight keypads are optional — they hold loot and collectibles, not story objectives. You only need them for 100% completion and the Time to Crate achievement, which asks you to open all 26 yellow supply crates (6 of those crates sit behind the keypad doors).

What do I get for entering all the Stranded codes?

Loot and progress toward 100% mission completion: map intel, armor plates, supplies, an X-Void SMG variant with subsonic rounds at the South East Village container, and 6 of the 26 yellow supply crates required for the Time to Crate achievement.

When did Modern Warfare 4 come out?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 fully releases on October 23, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. Campaign early access has been live since mid-October 2026, which is why the Stranded codes were already circulating before launch day.

Is there a map of all the Stranded keypads?

The in-game Tac-Map marks the keypads itself once you open the first container — the coordinates column in the table above gives every location (for example, the Base Camp container sits at 644, 158 and the island bunker at 615, 169). Match the coordinate to the on-screen grid and you will walk straight to each keypad.

What are the outposts in Stranded?

Outposts are the numbered infantry checkpoints scattered across the island — the Hidden Island Bunker code (0008) literally asks you to count the ones along the river. Clearing outposts and gathering intel is also how the game reveals yellow supply crate locations on your map, so sweeping them pays twice.

Are these the MW4 beta codes?

No. Beta codes were distribution promotions for pre-launch access (retailer and Monster Energy giveaways), not in-game codes, and that window has closed with the October 23, 2026 release. The codes on this page are the fixed campaign keypad codes that work for everyone at launch and after.

Sources and how this page is verified

Every code on this page was cross-checked on October 22, 2026 against four independently published guides, and all four agree on all eight codes: IGN’s Stranded code solutions, Polygon’s keypad puzzle guide, GameRant’s puzzle and crate guide and Game8’s Stranded walkthrough. If a patch ever changes a code, the change appears here with a new verification date.
